Olha (Ys VI)
Friday, January 4th, 2008One the most popular game series from the early days, but barely saw the light of day in the US, is YS. First appearing on the PC Engine console, and making its way to the PC Duo, the game series follows the adventures of Adol. In the 6th incarnation of the series, one of the characters that Adol meets, is the young priestess Olha. This costume was a challenge, in that I appliqued on so many squares and triangles, I thought I would never see the end of it. And, this was the first time I attempted to fully dye a wig, since the characters hair color is a strange grey, purple, blue color. I had to create the custom color using the sharpie dye method, and deal with the constant tangling because of the length of the wig.
